The realistic chances of there not being elections are zero. THe only time that would happen would be when the ruling elite put the army in charge. So by not voting you are simply allowing those who you distrust to get into power and make decisions that affect you. You may wish to live without their decisions but those decisions will certainly govern your life. For example they might just decide to ban the Internet in the interests of "democracy" lets say preventing a so called "terrorist threat". They may raise taxes or introduce forced conscription. They may legislate against anything they want.
By not voting you simply give your enemies power. They run your lives whether you like it or not.
Personally i dont think democracy exists. Ruling elites exist who have power, wealth and influence politics and in many cases choose and support politicians. They are the enemy.
I vote and I vote against any fuck witted rich arsehole born with a spoon in their mouth who wants to retain that right and make everyone suffer in order that their god given lifestyle is preserved.Sir Edward Damocleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17999494988849337148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1339924449082113290.post-70458131024513486642010-01-07T20:59:16.203-08:002010-01-07T20:59:16.203-08:00Interesting, you sign off "Anarchy and Peace&...Interesting, you sign off "Anarchy and Peace" after talking about making "democracy compulsory" where anything is compulsory there is not anarchy, there is not freedom, there is only slavery. Where the projects and relationships of life can be reduced to choices one can click on on a computer so that others will act for them, there is a sorry impoverishment. Your (lack of) vision is sad.
It is also interesting that rather than actually contending with anything I said, you simply used this as a sounding board to promote your supremely anti-anarchist project of compulsory computerized democracy. No thank you.apio luddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03112532254977062613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1339924449082113290.post-7175033060732278502010-01-05T04:17:03.812-08:002010-01-05T04:17:03.812-08:00I empathise.
